Erica is the Head of Player Development and Coaching Coordinator at MW Power. She has an extensive volleyball background, which includes competing at the high school, club, and collegiate level. Erica earned All-Area awards in high school and was also an All-America at the collegiate level. Erica went on to earn her Exercise Science degree from MN State University - Moorhead. After earning her degree, Erica moved to the St. Cloud area to begin her career as a JO/Club volleyball coach. Shortly after beginning MWP, Erica was offered the opportunity to join her collegiate rival and become the Head Volleyball Coach at Ridgewater College where she coached for 2 seasons before deciding to put her full time commitment into coaching at MWP. Erica has 15+ years of coaching experience, which includes personal lessons to youth and collegiate players. She also oversees and directs all teams in our program.

JODY BAKER

Jody is a new coach on staff here at MWP. She is an experienced high school, club, and collegiate-club volleyball player having played for more than 13 years and began coaching volleyball in 2021. Jody has background experience in every position on the court and brings forth knowledge in each distinctive area, but ultimately found her passion and specialty in volleyball through her time in the back row. As a veteran libero and defensive specialist, she has gained an all-around understanding of competitive passing, serve receive, and back-row defense paired with a strong comprehension of the overall game. We are excited to have her on staff!

MARCIA BALDER

18's JO Head Coach

I currently have 17 years of coaching experience spanning all levels from junior high to varsity and 10s to 18s. Currently in my third year with Midwest Power, I also serve as the head varsity volleyball coach for the Mille Lacs Raiders while teaching high school business classes.

Throughout my coaching journey, I have been privileged to receive All-Conference Coach of the Year awards. Personally, I am a proud parent of two daughters who not only excelled in volleyball during their high school years under my guidance, but also went on to play at the collegiate level.

My academic background includes a bachelor's degree in business education, and I am in the process of completing my master's degree. This blend of playing experience, coaching success, and educational achievement positions me as a well-rounded and dedicated professional in the world of volleyball. I am so honored and excited to coach for Midwest Power, eagerly sharing my knowledge with a broader group of athletes. My aim is to elevate their level of play and encourage continuous improvement of their skills.
