JASON SMITH
DIRECTOR / RECRUITING COORDINATOR

Experience:
Jason has been the 18's National Head Coach for the past 2 seasons, while also coaching all other levels in our program 17's - 15's. He has also been the Head Coach for the NCR High Performance 17u All-Star team. In addition to that Jason served as the Assistant Volleyball Coach for Alexandria Technical College and as of November 2024 he will be the Head Volleyball Coach of the ATCC Legends.
Why I Coach:
I Coach because sport is a beautiful thing. I enjoy the process of trying to get better at something and finally seeing that light bulb go off in my athletes when it clicks. I've had some amazing coaches in my career who have helped me become who I am, and I just hope that I can inspire my athletes just as my coaches have done for me. ​

ERICA SMITH
DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Experience:
Erica was once a standout player at Melrose High School. From there she attended SCSU and was on the spring team, she later transferred to Central Lakes College and became an All-American OH. Erica graduated from MSUM with a Bachelors in Exercise Science. Erica has coached all positions from 11u - 18u at the club/jo level and is a very sought after coach for private lessons for the last 15+ years. Erica was also the Head Volleyball Coach at Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN before COVID.

REAGAN JOSEPH
18's Power
Experience:
I started volleyball in 5th grade and went on to play at Hill Murray High School and White Bear Lake Volleyball Club primarily as a middle hitter. I started coaching in 2021 at White Bear Lake Volleyball club as an assistant coach at the 15s level. I have coached for MWP at the 15s, 16s, and 18s level, and this will be my third year. I also was the assistant varsity coach for Apollo in 2023 and was the JV head coach at Little Falls this past season.
Why I Coach:​
Coaching is by far the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I love watching the girls’ transformations and growth from the beginning of the season to the end, not only as players but as people. Volleyball has also always been my safe space since I started playing, and I want to pass on my love for the sport onto the next generation of players.

COURTNEY LAMM
17's National
Experience:
I started volleyball in 4th grade and continued to play through high school as an outside hitter. Prior to coaching at Midwest Power I coaching for Princeton JO volleyball in 2021 as the 16/17s level coach. I started coaching with MWP in 2022 and I have coached the 16s and 17s level.
Why I Coach:
I coach because I strive to spread my passion for this game through the next generation. I love watching the girls grow as players, teammates and individuals throughout the season. Coaching with Midwest Power has brought me lots of laughs, many memories, and lifelong friends and I’m excited to grow as a coach for another season with some of the best coaches I know.

SYDNEY ULRICH
16's National (Purple)
Experience:
Sydney Ulrich is a passionate volleyball coach coming to Midwest Power for her second season. She was a 5-year Varsity Letterwoman at Rogers High School in volleyball, golf and power lifting and played Club volleyball for 5 years. From Rogers, Sydney went on to earn her degree in both Marketing and Coaching at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and master’s in business administration at MidAmerica Nazarene University. At UW-Eau Claire she was a 4-year Student Assistant for Blugolds Football. Football would
take Sydney to both Kansas and New Jersey where she was the Director of Football Operations at MidAmerica Nazarene University (NAIA) and Recruiting Operations Coordinator at Rutgers University (DI). Beyond three years of working in collegiate recruiting, academics and team operations, Sydney also has a three-year background in coaching club volleyball combined between Club Velocity, Club 43 and MWP.
Why I Coach:​
Sydney has a passion to serve once again for a sport that had such positive impact on her life. Athletes part of her team will feel that they are so much more than volleyball. They are students, daughters, and members of this community. When it comes the time to hang up their shoes, she hopes they can look back and be proud of where they started and where they are now. If she gets to be part of that growth, well then, she is one lucky

MICHELLE SCHLUENDER
15's National
Experience:
Michelle has coached one year with MWP and is so excited to return this year. She has coached volleyball in various levels from 4-6th graders, JV level, and 14s JO. Michelle played volleyball in high school and college and continues to play on a women's league in the winter months.
Why I Coach:
I love coaching the sport of volleyball and I find great joy in developing fundamental skills in the girls while teaching them to love the game and feel good about their accomplishments.​

JODY BARKER
16's Power (Gold)
Experience:
Prior to coaching with MWP, I had experience coaching Braham High School’s JV summer league team for three summers. For the 2023-24 club season, I began coaching with Midwest Power as the head coach of the 15’s National-Team. I had the opportunity to travel and coach around the Midwest as well as at the Florida AAU volleyball nationals. I have played competitive volleyball for over 12 years, having played club before, after, and during the entirety of my high school career. Most recently, I played two years of club volleyball with SCSU and I now play competitively in indoor and sand volleyball leagues.
Why I Coach:​
I coach to spread my love and passion for the game of volleyball. I hope to teach and guide players through life on and off the court to be the best teammates and individuals they can be while competing at a high level of play.

DEB GEISLINGER

Experience:
Deb played Outside Hitter at Albany High School. She has coached JO and 9th grade at Albany high school. In addition, Deb has also coached volleyball at Sartell High School and served as a JV coach.
Why I Coach:​
I coach to share the game I love with the next generation. To be with these girls and be able to teach them leadership, communication, teamwork, Work ethic. All skills that they will need for years to come. Sports are so much more than just a game and I’m excited to be a part of it.

GISELLE GRAHN
15's Power
Experience:
I have coached 11U and 15U JO the last two years for ACGC Heat. I have coached youth volleyball clinics and volunteered at volleyball camps. I graduated from ACGC where I played volleyball since 5th grade. I played for Midwest Power for 3 years, and I am now playing at St. Cloud Technical and Community College. Over the years I have played outside, right, middle, and libero.
Why I Coach:
I chose to coach for MWP because I love to share my knowledge of the game, and I get to expand my coaching skills by learning from some of the best coaches. ​
